Bhubaneswar: Direct flight connectivity between Bhubaneswar and Bangkok has resumed, bringing back an international air link from Biju Patnaik International Airport ahead of the winter travel season.

IndiGo has restarted the route after its temporary suspension last July. The resumption is expected to provide greater convenience for passengers from Odisha travelling to Thailand for tourism, business and other purposes.

IndiGo Bangkok Flight From Bhubaneswar

IndiGo flight 6E-1065 will depart from Bhubaneswar at 11:05 PM for Bangkok. The return flight from Bangkok is scheduled to leave at around 5:30 AM the following day.

Initially, the Bhubaneswar-Bangkok direct service will operate twice a week.

Flights will depart from Bhubaneswar on:

  • Monday
  • Friday

The return services from Bangkok will operate on:

  • Tuesday
  • Saturday

Flight Timings to Change From October 25

The operating schedule will change from October 25. The service, which is initially operating at night, will shift to daytime timings.

Passengers travelling after October 25 are therefore expected to check the latest flight schedule before making travel arrangements.

Bangkok Connectivity Brings Relief to Odisha Passengers

The resumption of direct Bangkok flights restores an international connection that had been unavailable for several months.

The route is expected to benefit tourists from Odisha travelling to Thailand as well as business passengers. Direct connectivity can also reduce the need for passengers to use connecting flights through other airports.

Airport authorities have indicated that passenger demand on the Bhubaneswar-Bangkok route remains strong, supporting the return of direct operations.

Efforts are also continuing to restore direct connectivity between Bhubaneswar and Dubai once operating conditions become favourable.

Meanwhile, passenger demand for a direct Bhubaneswar-Singapore service is currently understood to be insufficient for regular operations. Airport authorities remain hopeful that Singapore connectivity could return if passenger numbers increase and airlines are willing to operate the route.

The return of Bangkok flights therefore marks another step in restoring international connectivity from Odisha’s capital, while further destinations could depend on passenger demand and airline operating decisions.
