Aryan Khan’s Directorial Debut ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’ Preview: Netflix Unveils Stylised Take on Hindi Film Industry
Netflix has dropped the much-awaited preview of The Ba*ds of Bollywood**, marking Aryan Khan’s highly anticipated directorial debut. The series, set to premiere on September 18, dives into the chaotic, stylised, and self-aware world of the Hindi film industry.
Created by Aryan Khan, co-created by Bilal Siddiqi and Manav Chauhan, and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment Pvt. Ltd, the show carries a cheeky, no-filter tone laced with humour and grit.
Aryan Khan’s Bold Vision for ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’
Introducing the series alongside Shah Rukh Khan, Aryan said, “With The Ba**ds of Bollywood, I wanted to build a world that feels alive—a mix of glitz and grit—where ambition shines, egos clash, and nothing is ever as it seems. In Netflix, we found a partner who shared our creative vision—helping us tell the story exactly how it needed to be told, raw, stylised, and something the world has never experienced before.”*

The makers describe it as an “ultimate underdog story”, asking how far one is willing to go for a dream, and what they might lose along the way in a cutthroat Bollywood landscape.
Star-Studded Cast Led by Bobby Deol
The ensemble includes Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Vijayant Kohli, Rajat Bedi, and Gautami Kapoor. Each actor shared insights into their bold and unapologetic characters, with Shah Rukh Khan introducing them in his signature witty style.
Netflix & Red Chillies’ Strongest Collaboration Yet
This marks the sixth collaboration between Netflix and Red Chillies Entertainment after Bard of Blood, Darlings, Bhakshak, Betaal, and Class of ‘83. According to Netflix, this is easily their most unfiltered and edgy project so far.

Shah Rukh Khan said, “It’s a proud moment to see Aryan carve out his vision with such clarity and edge. This is storytelling that’s sharp, self-aware, and unapologetically bold, and I think audiences on Netflix will connect to the heart of it as much as its style.”
Music Powered by T-Series
The soundtrack is backed by T-Series, with compositions from Shashwat Sachdev, along with guest composers Anirudh Ravichander and Ujwal Gupta—a lineup promising both energy and experimentation.
