The joint operation was carried out by the Special Task Force (STF) of the South-East District and Pul Prahladpur Police. Himanshu, along with an accomplice named Kaushal, was involved in the October 22 robbery of a Domino’s delivery executive, an incident that went viral on social media. During the encounter, Himanshu was shot in the leg and later admitted to Safdarjung Hospital for medical treatment. Police recovered a semi-automatic pistol (.32 bore), two live cartridges, and four empty shells from the scene.

The October 22 robbery case, where a Domino’s delivery boy was attacked and injured, had gone viral on social media, causing public outrage. The CCTV footage from the incident showed the suspects fleeing after snatching the delivery bag. Following the viral video, police teams were deployed to identify and apprehend the culprits. A new case has been registered at PS Badarpur, and the investigation is ongoing. Police are analyzing the seized weapon and ammunition for forensic evidence.
