Dr Jitendra Singh to Confer National Anubhav Awards 2025 and Launch Key Pension Initiatives
Union Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Dr Jitendra Singh will present the National Anubhav Awards 2025 on 18 August 2025, recognising outstanding contributions made by retiring and retired Central Government employees through their documented experiences on the ‘Anubhav’ portal. The awards ceremony will also see the launch of guidelines for the nation-wide Digital Life Certificate (DLC) campaign 4.0, and will be followed by the inauguration of a Pre-Retirement Counselling (PRC) workshop for more than 1,200 soon-to-retire employees.
The Anubhav platform was launched in March 2015 by the Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW) to preserve administrative history through personal accounts of Government employees. Now celebrating its 10th year, the portal hosts over 12,500 write-ups and has conferred 78 awards since its inception. This year, 42 Ministries and Departments submitted nearly 1,500 write-ups, from which 15 have been carefully selected for recognition.
National Anubhav Awards 2025 – Recognising Retired Employees’ Contributions
At the National Anubhav Awards 2025 ceremony, Dr Jitendra Singh will felicitate 15 awardees representing 11 different Ministries and Departments. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has achieved the highest number of recognitions with four awardees, followed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) with two. For the first time, employees from the State Bank of India (SBI), Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), the Department of Land Resources and the Ministry of Jal Shakti are among those receiving honours. This year, women constitute 33% of the total awardees, highlighting their increasing role and contribution in governance and public administration.
Pre-Retirement Counselling Workshop to Support Soon-to-Retire Employees
In addition to the awards ceremony, Dr Jitendra Singh will inaugurate the 57th Pre-Retirement Counselling (PRC) workshop. These workshops are part of the Government’s Good Governance initiatives and are aimed at facilitating a smooth transition for employees approaching retirement. Participants will receive guidance on pension disbursement procedures through the “Bhavishya” platform, health benefits available under the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS), and grievance redressal mechanisms such as CPENGRAMS. Sessions will also cover usage of the Anubhav portal, investment advice and income tax planning for pensioners.
DLC Campaign 4.0 Guidelines to Be Launched
The ceremony will also include the release of comprehensive guidelines for the nation-wide DLC campaign 4.0, which is scheduled for November 2025. The campaign allows pensioners to submit their life certificates digitally through mobile applications, ensuring ease and convenience without the need to visit banks or government offices.
Banks’ Exhibition and Additional Support Services
A Banks’ Exhibition will be organised as part of the event, featuring 19 Pension Disbursing Banks along with the India Post Payments Bank (IPPB). These institutions will offer specialised support to the participants, including assistance in opening pension accounts and selecting suitable investment options for retirement funds. The initiative reflects the Government’s continued commitment to improving the ease of living for pensioners and retired employees.
