MUMBAI: The wait for the next chapter of the Drishyam franchise is officially over. Ajay Devgn will return as Vijay Salgaonkar in Drishyam-The Conclusion, which is scheduled to reach cinemas on October 2, 2026.
The title and release date were revealed on Monday along with the film’s first poster, signalling the return of one of Bollywood’s most closely followed crime-thriller stories.
The announcement has also revived interest in Vijay Salgaonkar’s next move as the character once again faces the consequences of protecting his family.
Drishyam The Conclusion Brings Back Ajay Devgn
Ajay Devgn will reprise his popular role as Vijay Salgaonkar, the ordinary family man whose extraordinary efforts to shield his loved ones became the central conflict of the franchise.
The first poster carries the line, “Mera Sach, Mera Sahi, Sirf Meri Family Hai”, reinforcing the character’s defining motivation.
The wording keeps the focus firmly on family, suggesting that Vijay’s choices will once again be driven by his determination to protect those closest to him.
Drishyam The Conclusion Sets October 2 Release
The third instalment has been locked for a theatrical release on October 2, 2026.
The release date places the film during a period that can provide strong theatrical footfall, while the established popularity of the franchise gives the new chapter considerable audience expectations.
The announcement of the title as The Conclusion also raises an obvious question about the future of Vijay Salgaonkar’s story. Whether the film provides a definitive ending or introduces another unexpected turn remains one of the major points of anticipation.
Drishyam 3 Builds on a Popular Thriller Franchise
The franchise has built its appeal around suspense, family loyalty and the question of how far an ordinary person can go to protect loved ones.
Ajay Devgn’s return as Vijay is therefore central to the film’s appeal. His character’s ability to stay ahead of investigators has been one of the defining elements of the series.
With the official poster and release date now announced, attention is likely to shift towards the film’s cast, story details, trailer and promotional campaign.
For audiences who have followed Vijay Salgaonkar’s journey from the beginning, October 2, 2026 will mark the next major chapter in the story, with Drishyam-The Conclusion promising to bring the franchise’s long-running mystery to its next stage.
