EC Publishes List of 65 Lakh Excluded Voters in Bihar Draft Electoral Roll

Published on

The Election Commission of India has officially uploaded the names of 65 lakh voters who were removed from the Bihar draft electoral roll, released on August 1 following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise.

The names of electors who were part of the Bihar voter list till 2025, but are missing from the new draft, can now be accessed on the official website of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Bihar.

According to the CEO office, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) — with support from booth-level agents, public representatives and other officials — compiled the list of electors whose enumeration slips were not received during the revision process.

EC Issues Bihar excluded voters list After Supreme Court Order

The notice clarifies that any dissatisfied voter can submit a claim along with a copy of their Aadhaar card to seek re-inclusion.
The published Bihar excluded voters list includes detailed information such as:

  • Serial number
  • EPIC number
  • Name of voter and relative
  • Old part number and serial number
  • Age and gender
  • Reason for non-inclusion in the draft roll

This move follows an interim order by the Supreme Court, which directed the Election Commission to make public the names and reasons for excluding 65 lakh electors from the draft roll.

Bihar excluded voters list Aims at Transparency Ahead of Polls

The publication of the list is expected to bring transparency to the SIR process in poll-bound Bihar and allow citizens to verify their status ahead of the upcoming elections.

Citizens are encouraged to review the uploaded list and immediately raise objections if their names have been wrongly excluded.
