New Delhi: The FASTag Annual Pass fee increase has been announced by the National Highways Authority of India, with the price revised from ₹3,000 to ₹3,075 for the financial year 2026–27.
The updated rate will come into effect from April 1, 2026, in accordance with the provisions of the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008.
Officials say the adjustment reflects the standard annual revision of highway user fees.
FASTag Annual Pass Fee Increase from April 1
Under the revised pricing structure, private vehicle owners opting for the FASTag Annual Pass will now pay ₹3,075 as a one-time fee.
The pass remains valid for: One year, or Up to 200 toll crossings.
The data suggests that the annual pass has gained popularity among frequent highway users who want to avoid repeated FASTag recharges.
Over 56 Lakh Users Using FASTag Annual Pass
According to NHAI, more than 56 lakh private vehicle owners are currently using the FASTag Annual Pass facility.
The scheme applies to eligible non-commercial vehicles with a valid FASTag.
The pass can be used at approximately 1,150 toll plazas located across National Highways and National Expressways in India.
How FASTag Annual Pass Works
Once the one-time payment is made, the pass is linked to the vehicle’s existing FASTag.
The activation process is quick:
- Payment is made through the Rajmarg Yatra App or the official NHAI website.
- The pass is activated on the FASTag within about two hours.
- The vehicle can then pass through toll plazas without additional charges until the crossing limit or validity expires.
FASTag Annual Pass Launched in 2025
The FASTag Annual Pass scheme was introduced on August 15, 2025, with the aim of offering a cost-effective toll payment option for frequent highway travelers.
The initiative supports the government’s broader effort to promote digital toll collection and seamless highway travel across the country.

What the market is noticing is the rapid adoption of FASTag-based systems, which have significantly reduced waiting times at toll plazas.
Impact on Highway Users
For frequent highway commuters, the revised fee is expected to have a limited financial impact due to the relatively small increase.
However, the scheme continues to offer convenience and savings compared with paying toll charges separately for each trip.
As digital tolling systems expand across India’s highway network, the FASTag Annual Pass is likely to remain a preferred option for regular travellers.
