According to 123Telugu, the film is in the final stages of development. Although there are indications of swift shooting progress in Khammam, it is unknown whether Pawan Kalyan has joined the set or would film his scenes later.

The makers have released two singles, “Maata Vinaali” and “Kollagottinadhiro,” which have gotten positive feedback from fans.

‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’ takes place in the 17th century Mughal Empire. The film follows Veera Mallu, a legendary bandit who fights against persecution. Pawan Kalyan plays the title character, while Bobby Deol represents the adversary, Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Nidhhi Agerwal, Anupam Kher, Jisshu Sengupta, Nargis Fakhri, and Nora Fatehi play significant roles in the film.

Principal photography began in September 2020, but there were significant delays owing to the COVID-19 pandemic and Pawan Kalyan’s political commitments. The film was originally slated to be released on March 29, 2025, but was postponed to allow for post-production completion. The shooting resumed in stages, with large chunks filmed in Hyderabad and other locales.

This period action drama would be Pawan Kalyan’s first pan-Indian feature.
“Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 – Sword vs Spirit” will be released in Telugu on May 9, 2025, with dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. Amazon Prime Video obtained the digital rights. M.M. Keeravani composed the music.
