Honeymoon Murder Twist: Sonam Raghuvanshi Now Suspected to Be Mastermind
In a shocking twist to the honeymoon murder case involving Sonam Raghuvanshi and her alleged lover Raj Kushwaha, investigators now believe that Sonam could be the real mastermind behind the gruesome crime. Earlier theories painted Raj as the primary conspirator, but fresh interrogation details suggest that he may have been manipulated and used as a pawn in Sonam’s elaborate plan.
Police: Sonam Manipulated Co-Accused With Promises and Money
Senior officers monitoring the case revealed that Sonam allegedly manipulated each accused, luring Raj with promises of love and potentially offering financial incentives to others. Authorities now suspect she may have intended to elope with another person, with Raj unknowingly facilitating her escape.
Police sources claim that Raj even paid a cab driver who dropped Sonam in Uttar Pradesh on June 6, further supporting the theory that he was acting under her influence.
Indore Hideout and Disappearance: A Premeditated Plan?
Crime branch officials also disclosed that Sonam had pre-arranged a hideout in Indore. She reportedly chose the flat, made payments in advance, and kept the location hidden even from her accomplices. Investigators are yet to locate the mysterious flat.
Authorities believe Sonam remained in Indore for most of her disappearance while her family and police teams searched for her, with her relatives even staging protests against the Meghalaya government to increase pressure.
When the plan began to unravel, Sonam allegedly asked Raj to book a cab, and she fled to Uttar Pradesh, where she was ultimately traced on June 8. Officials believe her sudden escape was an attempt to avoid capture as her plans fell apart.
Sonam to Be Brought Back to Indore for Evidence Verification
Indore Crime Branch has confirmed that they currently do not possess the address of the flat where Sonam hid. However, Meghalaya Police will soon bring her back to Indore for evidence collection and verification.
“Indore police will extend full logistical and technical assistance. Sonam is expected to be brought back shortly,” stated Additional DCP Rajesh Dandotiya.
