India delivered a commanding performance at the Taiwan Athletics Open 2025, topping the medal tally with 16 medals, including 12 golds, 3 silvers, and 1 bronze. The event, part of the World Athletics Continental Tour (Bronze level), witnessed several Indian athletes breaking records and setting new personal bests.

The Indian contingent showcased its growing strength across hurdles, sprints, middle-distance races, jumps, and relays, marking this as one of the country’s most successful outings in an international meet.

Day 1: Six Golds and Three Meet Records

Speaking after the event, Indian Athletics Federation officials praised the athletes’ performance, noting that while the event lacked participation from top Asian nations like China and Iran, it served as an excellent platform to gain confidence, ranking points, and prepare for upcoming global competitions.

With this stunning performance, India looks forward to maintaining the momentum in the upcoming World Championships and Olympic qualifying events. The depth in sprints, middle-distance, and field events reflects the country’s rising stature in global athletics.
