India-Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Strengthens Amid Global Uncertainty

Published on

New Delhi: A high-level Ministerial delegation from Singapore, led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Commerce Gan Kim Yong, met President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan today, reinforcing the strong and growing India-Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Regular High-Level Engagements Bolster India-Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership

Welcoming the delegation, President Murmu noted that the partnership between the two nations is flourishing despite an uncertain global environment. She fondly recalled the state visit of President Tharman Shanmugaratnam earlier this year, coinciding with the 60th anniversary of the establishment of India-Singapore bilateral relations.

The President highlighted that regular interactions at the highest levels provide sustained momentum to multifaceted ties, fostering trust, and deepening cooperation.

Singapore’s Strong Stand Against Terrorism Appreciated by India

President Murmu expressed gratitude for Singapore’s firm position against terrorism, particularly following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam. She stated that Singapore’s stance reflects shared values and commitment to global peace and stability.

The President also noted that the partnership is expanding into emerging areas such as skilling, the green economy, and FinTech. These sectors are expected to drive innovation, create jobs, and contribute to sustainable economic growth for both nations.
