India, Sweden Strengthen Ties in Clean Energy, Digital Tech, and Trade

India and Sweden held high-level discussions aimed at deepening cooperation across key sectors including clean energy, digital technology, climate action, healthcare, life sciences, and skill development. The dialogue took place during Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal’s official visit to Stockholm, where he met with Benjamin Dousa, Sweden’s Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, and HÃ¥kan Jevrell, State Secretary for Foreign Trade.

Focus on Infrastructure, Manufacturing, and Investment

During the meeting, Minister Goyal invited Swedish companies to invest in India’s rapidly expanding infrastructure and manufacturing sectors, highlighting the country’s openness to innovation and foreign collaboration.

India-Sweden Business Roundtable Strengthens Economic Ties

Minister Goyal also addressed the India-Sweden Business Leaders’ Roundtable lunch, calling it a crucial platform for enhancing economic cooperation. He praised the forum for bringing together key business leaders from both countries to foster partnerships in trade, innovation, and investment.

Shared Innovation and Mutual Prosperity as Pillars of Cooperation

Highlighting the shared goals of technological advancement and inclusive growth, Mr. Goyal emphasized that India and Sweden should continue to build strong, future-ready partnerships grounded in shared innovation and mutual prosperity.
