Indian All-Party Delegation Reaches Germany to Strengthen Anti-Terrorism Resolve

Published on

An all-party parliamentary delegation from India, led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, arrived in Berlin, Germany, on Wednesday as part of India’s diplomatic outreach under Operation Sindoor. The visit underscores the nation’s unified and firm stand against terrorism and reaffirms its zero-tolerance policy in the global arena.

The delegation was received by India’s Ambassador to Germany, Ajit Gupte, upon arrival.

In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), the Indian Embassy in Germany wrote:

“The All-Party Parliamentary Delegation will convey India’s united and resolute stand against terrorism.”

Key Interactions and Agenda

During their stay from June 5–7, the nine-member delegation will engage with:

  • Senior officials from the German Parliament (Bundestag)
  • Representatives from the Federal Foreign Office of Germany
  • Prominent members of German think tanks
  • The Indian diaspora in Germany

These interactions aim to enhance mutual cooperation on counter-terrorism strategies and further strengthen the India-Germany strategic relationship.

Delegation Members

Apart from Ravi Shankar Prasad, the delegation includes:

  • Daggubati Purandeswari, MJ Akbar, Gulam Ali Khatana, Samik Bhattacharya (BJP)
  • Amar Singh (Congress)
  • Priyanka Chaturvedi (Shiv Sena – UBT)
  • M Thambidurai (AIADMK)
  • Pankaj Saran, former Indian diplomat

The group arrived in Germany after wrapping up a similar diplomatic visit to Belgium, where they conveyed India’s position to European counterparts.

Objective: United Indian Voice on Global Platform

The mission highlights India’s bipartisan approach on issues of national security and terrorism. The unified delegation sends a clear message to the global community that India stands firm, across party lines, in defending its sovereignty and combating terrorism.
