Indian Embassy Evacuates Students from Tehran Amid Growing Israel-Iran Tensions

Published on

Amid escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, the Indian Embassy in Tehran has facilitated the evacuation of Indian students from the Iranian capital as a precautionary safety measure.

Indian Students Relocated from Tehran for Safety

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, Indian students residing in Tehran have been moved out of the city under embassy-arranged measures due to the deteriorating security environment. The situation remains fluid, prompting proactive steps to safeguard Indian nationals.

Other Residents Advised to Leave Independently

Indian nationals in Tehran who have independent means of transport have also been strongly advised to leave the city. This recommendation comes in light of the uncertain and evolving regional conflict.

Evacuations via Armenian Border Also Facilitated

In addition to domestic relocations, some Indian citizens have been helped to exit Iran through its border with Armenia. The embassy has been coordinating closely with the Indian community, ensuring all possible assistance is made available.

Further Advisories Likely as Situation Develops

The External Affairs Ministry noted that additional advisories may be issued depending on how the security situation unfolds. The embassy continues to monitor developments and remains in active contact with Indian nationals in Iran.
