Local train services to be affected today due to jumbo block on Western Railway

Mumbai: Local train services : Indian Railways will operate mega blocks on several lines in Mumbai on today Sunday. Western Railway said it will undertake a giant block of five hours on the UP and DOWN Slow lines between Borivali and Goregaon railway stations. The block will be from 10.35 to 15.35 for the purpose of maintenance of tracks, security and overhead equipment.


During the megablock, no trains will be handled from platform no. 1, 2, 3 and 4 at Borivali station. “A five-hour Jumbo block will be adopted on the UP and DOWN Slow lines between Borivali and Goregaon from 10:35 AM to 3:35 PM on Sunday, February 5, 2023, for carrying out maintenance work on tracks, signaling and overhead equipment,” WR said. in the statement.


According to Sumit Thakur, Public Relations Director, WR, all UP and DOWN Slow line trains will be on fast lines between Borivali and Goregaon during the blocking period. Due to the lockout, some Up & Down suburban services will remain canceled and some Borivali locals will reach Goregaon station.

Apart from this, Central Railway has also announced mega block on UP and Down lines between Matunga and Mulund for today. The block will be from 11:05 AM to 3:55 PM while the next block will be on the UP and Down Harbor Lines between Wadala Road to Mankhurd.
