Odisha Govt Halts B.Ed, M.Ed Admissions for 2025-26 Amid Answer Key Discrepancy Row

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Higher Education Department has temporarily suspended all admission activities for the two-year B.Ed. (Arts/Science), B.H.Ed., and M.Ed. programmes for the academic session 2025-26 following serious allegations of discrepancies in the entrance examination scores.

According to an official notification issued by the department, the State Selection Board (SSB) has initiated a re-verification process and constituted subject-wise expert committees to reassess the answer keys used during the entrance tests.

“Pending completion of this process, all admission activities for the said courses are temporarily suspended. The revised admission schedule will be notified on the SAMS portal (https://te.samsodisha.gov.in/) and through leading newspapers. Students and institutions are advised to stay updated only through the official channels,” the notification read.
