Bhubaneswar: Odisha Staff Selection Commission – OSSC, Bhubaneswar has invited applications from all eligible candidates for recruitment to fill up fresh 7540 vacancies in the Regular Teachers for the Government Secondary Schools.

Total Number of Posts:

The teacher recruitment will fill up 7540 posts, out of which 4054 are reserved for ST, 1006 for SC, and 591 for SEBC candidates. Also break-up of vacancies 1889 posts for Unreserved candidates includes.

Online registration applications will be starts on December 11, 2022, and ends on January 9, 2023

Age Limit for High School Teachers in Odisha (As on 01.01.2022)

Minimum entry age: 21 years.

Maximum age limit: 38 years.

(Age relaxation is applicable as per the Odisha government rules.)

Category Age Relaxation

SC/ST/SEBC/Women candidates: 5 years

Persons with Disabilities Candidates: 10 years.

OSSC TGT 2022 Eligibility

The candidate applying for the post must have passed Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with B.Ed from any recognized University. For more refer to the notification.

TGT Arts  

Bachelor in Arts / Commerce or a Shastri from a recognized university with 50% marks in aggregate and Bachelor in Education (B. Ed)/3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. from an NCTE-recognized Institution OR Four-year Integrated B.A. B.Ed. from an NCTE recognized Institution having 50% marks in aggregate.

TGT Science (PCM) and TGT Science (CBZ)     

Bachelor in Science (B.Sc) / B. Tech/ B.E. from a recognized university having 50% marks in aggregate and Bachelor in Education (B. Ed)/ 3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. from an NCTE recognized Institution OR Four-year Integrated B. Sc. B.Ed. from an NCTE recognized Institution having 50% marks in aggregate.

Classical Teacher

Classical Teacher (Sanskrit): Graduation with Sanskrit as one of the subjects from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University with Hindi as one subject with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and Hindi Shikshan Parangat from Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra B.H.Ed., a course prescribed by NCTE, from a recognized University/ institution.

Urdu Teacher  Alim/Fazil with 50 % marks and B.ED/Urdu B.ed from NCTE.

Scale Of Pay:

The TGT Arts, PCM, and CBZ will receive Rs 35,400 per month. Hindi Teachers, Sanskrit Teachers, Telugu Teachers, Urdu Teacher will receive the same scale of pay as Rs.35,400. The Physical Education Teacher will get Rs 29200 per month.
