Odisha To Begin Land Registration At Tehsil Offices From November 1

Published on

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government will start land registration at tehsil offices from November 1, making the process simpler and more accessible for citizens. Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari announced that the initiative will begin in 44 tehsils in the first phase and will be expanded to all 273 tehsils by December.

Land Registration At Tehsil Offices To Begin Across Odisha

Minister Suresh Pujari said that land registration at tehsil offices will significantly reduce the challenges faced by people during property transactions. By shifting the service from sub-registrar offices to tehsils, the state aims to decentralize registration and bring services closer to the people, particularly in rural areas.

Online Slot Booking System To Simplify The Process

To ensure convenience, the government will also introduce an online slot booking system. Citizens will be able to book their registration appointments digitally through an online portal. “People will now be able to book slots online and register land at their respective tehsil offices,” said Minister Pujari, adding that the new feature will minimize crowding and save time for applicants.

Chief Minister To Inaugurate The Initiative On November 1

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will inaugurate the new land registration system on November 1. The launch marks a significant step toward enhancing transparency and efficiency in Odisha’s land administration. Officials believe this reform will make property registration faster, more transparent, and user-friendly for millions of landowners across the state.
