Nagpur: An Indigo flight (6E 2706) en route from Kochi to Delhi was forced to make an emergency landing at Nagpur Airport on Tuesday morning following a bomb threat received mid-air.
The aircraft, which had departed at 9:20 AM, was swiftly diverted to Nagpur as a precautionary measure. After landing safely, all passengers were promptly deboarded, and a comprehensive security screening of the plane commenced.
Authorities at the airport confirmed that no suspicious object has been discovered on board so far. Security agencies, including the bomb disposal squad, police, and fire services, responded immediately to assess the situation.
Indigo Airlines and airport officials stated that the matter is under active investigation and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available from security agencies.
