PM Modi, Uzbekistan President Discuss Bilateral Ties Ahead of India’s 79th Independence Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a telephone call from the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, on Tuesday.

President Mirziyoyev conveyed warm greetings and heartfelt felicitations to PM Modi and the people of India ahead of the 79th Independence Day celebrations.

Focus on Strengthening India-Uzbekistan Relations

During the conversation, both leaders reviewed the progress made in several key areas of India Uzbekistan relations, including trade, connectivity, healthcare, technology, and cultural exchanges.

Regional and Global Cooperation

The leaders also exchanged views on important regional and global developments of mutual interest. They reaffirmed their commitment to further deepen the age-old historical ties between India and Central Asia.

Continued Diplomatic Engagement

Both sides agreed to remain in close contact to ensure continued momentum in their partnership, which is anchored in shared history, mutual respect, and growing strategic cooperation.
