Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar Storms Past ₹100 Crore in Opening Weekend, Sets Box Office on Fire
Dhurandhar Box Office Collection: Ranveer Singh has once again delivered a thunderous box office performance as his latest film Dhurandhar has officially crossed the ₹100 crore mark within just three days of its theatrical release. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the action-packed thriller has not only emerged as Singh’s first A-rated film but has also earned widespread praise from audiences and critics alike. The film’s rapid climb at the box office signals a major commercial triumph and firmly establishes it as one of the biggest openers of the year.
Industry tracker Sacnilk reported that the film showed consistent upward momentum right from its first day. After a strong start on Friday, the collections jumped noticeably on Saturday and then exploded on Sunday, pushing the domestic net total past the coveted ₹100 crore milestone by the end of the opening weekend.
Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Sees Massive Sunday Surge
The upward trend reached its peak on Sunday when Dhurandhar recorded its highest single-day earnings so far. The film collected ₹43 crore net on Day 3 alone, marking a sharp 34.38 per cent growth over Saturday’s figures. The movie had opened on Friday with an impressive ₹28 crore net, followed by a solid rise on Saturday with ₹32 crore, representing a 14.29 per cent increase.
With these three days combined, the total domestic net collection now stands at ₹103 crore. Trade analysts have termed this growth curve “exceptional,” especially considering the film’s adult certification, which usually limits mass audience reach. Instead, Dhurandhar appears to have tapped strongly into the urban and young adult audience base.
Strong Theatre Occupancy Reflects Robust Audience Pull
The film’s rapid box office rise has been strongly backed by impressive theatre occupancy figures. On its first Sunday, Dhurandhar registered an overall occupancy of 53.47 per cent across India. Morning shows began with a moderate 27.28 per cent turnout, which sharply climbed to 61.55 per cent during afternoon screenings.
Evening shows witnessed the highest footfall with a remarkable 70.07 per cent occupancy, while late-night shows maintained a healthy 54.97 per cent. These numbers reflect strong word-of-mouth publicity and growing interest among moviegoers as the weekend progressed.
Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Boosted by Strong Overseas Earnings
Alongside its domestic dominance, Dhurandhar has also made a powerful impact in international markets. The film has earned ₹21 crore from overseas territories within its opening weekend. This has pushed the worldwide box office total to an impressive ₹144.6 crore in just three days.
The India gross collection, meanwhile, stands at ₹123.6 crore by the end of Day 3. Trade experts believe that with the current pace, the film is well on track to join the elite ₹200 crore club if the momentum continues through the first full week.
Geopolitical Thriller Theme Strikes a Chord with Viewers
Written, directed, and co-produced by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar draws inspiration from real-life geopolitical tensions and covert intelligence operations linked to India’s R&AW. The narrative dives deep into the dark underworld of gangs and criminal syndicates operating in Karachi’s notorious Lyari region, blending action, espionage, and political intrigue.
Apart from Ranveer Singh’s intense performance, the film has received special acclaim for Akshaye Khanna, whose portrayal has emerged as a major highlight. Critics have praised the film’s gritty storytelling, realistic action sequences, and its unflinching look at cross-border crime networks.
With a thunderous opening, strong audience pull, and rising worldwide numbers, Dhurandhar has positioned itself as one of the biggest commercial successes of the year and a defining milestone in Ranveer Singh’s career.
