India continued its strong run at the 16th Asian Shooting Championship in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, with Rashmika Sahgal claiming the country’s third individual gold medal on day two of the competition. Rashmika delivered an impressive final score of 241.9 in the junior women’s 10m air pistol event, finishing 4.3 points ahead of Korea’s Han Seunghyun to secure the title.

Earlier in the day, Olympic bronze medallist Manu Bhaker added another international podium finish by taking bronze in the senior women’s 10m air pistol final with a score of 219.7.

In the senior category, Manu Bhaker (583) joined Palak (573) and Suruchi Phogat (574) to secure team bronze in the women’s air pistol event.
