PURI: The Snana Yatra 2026 was celebrated with immense religious fervour at the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri on Monday, drawing thousands of devotees to witness one of the most significant rituals in the annual Rath Yatra calendar. The ceremonial bathing of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra was performed at the Snana Mandap amid Vedic chants, devotional music and traditional temple rituals.

Snana Yatra 2026 Marks the Beginning of Anasara Rituals

As per long-standing temple traditions, the sibling deities were brought from the sanctum sanctorum to the Snana Mandap through the elaborate Pahandi procession. The Holy Trinity was then bathed with 108 pitchers of sanctified water drawn from the sacred Suna Kua (Golden Well) inside the temple premises.
