Suposhit Maa Abhiyan: PM lauds the initiative by Lok Sabha Speaker

New Delhi: The Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi has praised the initiative of Suposhit Maa Abhiyan by Lok Sabha speaker, Om Birla. Shri Birla inaugurated Suposhit Maa Abhiyan in Ramganjmandi area of Kota. The goal of this initiative to keep every mother and child healthy.

Responding to a tweet by Lok Sabha speaker, the Prime Minister tweeted; “An inspiring initiative from the honorable Lok Sabha Speaker ji! In this lies the prosperity of the entire family, along with a healthy mother and child, and this is the cornerstone of a strong society.”

Notably, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla launched the Suposhit Maa Abhiyan to create a malnutrition-free India at the Bhamashah Mandi campus in Kota. In the first phase of the campaign, 1,000 pregnant women were provided with 1,000 packages of balanced food of 17 kg each.

Under this Suposhit Maa 1000 women would be given food for one month. At the same time, the health condition of the child would be covered, including medical examination, blood tests, medicines and childbirth. Identified women would have to register on the website for adoption. Only one pregnant woman from the family would be adopted.
