The Supreme Court has ruled that the NEET-PG 2025 examination, scheduled for June 15, must be conducted in a single shift instead of two.
The decision was issued by a bench led by Justice Vikram Nath, which instructed authorities to ensure complete transparency in the examination process.
The court emphasized that it is impossible to maintain uniform difficulty across multiple shifts, raising concerns over fairness.
This directive came while hearing a group of petitions filed by NEET-PG aspirants, who alleged a lack of transparency in how the exam was being administered.
The petitioners argued that conducting the test in two shifts, along with the use of a normalization method and changes to the tie-breaker rules, had negatively impacted medical candidates.
