Yoga Bandhan Programme Organised in New Delhi Ahead of International Yoga Day 2025
As part of the run-up to the International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2025, the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga today organised the Yoga Bandhan programme in New Delhi. The event saw enthusiastic participation from international delegates representing countries such as Denmark, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, and Argentina, among others.
The Yoga Bandhan initiative is one of the 10 Signature Events being hosted in the lead-up to IDY-2025 and reflects India’s growing emphasis on strengthening global collaboration through institution-to-institution connections in the field of Yoga.
Addressing the gathering, Secretary of the Ministry of Ayush, Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, commended the foreign delegates for their role in spreading the practice of Yoga in their respective countries. He highlighted the programme as a platform to deepen cultural exchange and promote holistic wellness.
As part of their five-day India tour, the delegation will visit several iconic locations across the country and will lead Yoga Day celebrations at various venues. Their itinerary also includes cultural experiences and institutional dialogues aimed at promoting Yoga-based cooperation and mutual understanding.
The visit will conclude with the grand celebrations of the International Day of Yoga on June 21, where the delegates will join the global observance of India’s flagship soft power initiative.
