Bhubaneswar: School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond on Sunday announced that the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Odisha will publish the annual Plus two examination results on May 20.
In a major policy shift, results for all four streams Arts, Science, Commerce and Vocational will be declared simultaneously for the first time.
The move is expected to simplify higher education admissions and reduce uncertainty for students waiting for stream-wise result announcements.
Odisha Plus Two Results 2026 Marks Major Policy Change
Traditionally, CHSE Odisha released Science and Commerce results first, while Arts results were announced later.
This year’s unified declaration is aimed at streamlining the admission process for colleges and universities by ensuring equal timelines for all students.
The second-order effect of simultaneous result publication could significantly improve coordination in Odisha’s higher education admission cycle, especially for institutions managing large volumes of applications across streams.
Education officials believe the change may also reduce stress and confusion among students and parents.
Over 4 Lakh Students Appeared for CHSE Odisha 2026 Exams
According to official data, more than 4.01 lakh students appeared for the Plus II examinations conducted across Odisha.
The examinations began on February 18 and concluded on March 26 at centres across the state.
Officials confirmed that final preparations for result publication are underway at the CHSE office and technical systems have been prepared to ensure smooth online access.
