Stock Market Today: Equity Indices Close Higher Tracking Positive Asian Cues; Sensex Soars 540 Points

Stock Market Today: Indian equity benchmark indices closed higher today, mirroring gains in Asian markets after Japan finalized a trade agreement with the United States. The BSE Sensex surged 540 points, or 0.66%, to settle at 82,727, while the NSE Nifty 50 rose 159 points, or 0.60%, to close at 25,220.

Broader Markets End in Green

The broader markets also ended positively:

  • BSE Mid-Cap index gained 0.20%
  • BSE Small-Cap index edged up 0.05%
