Apple Gifts Trump 24-Karat Gold Souvenir Amid $600 Billion US Investment

Published on

In a high-profile Oval Office meeting on August 6, 2025, Apple CEO Tim Cook presented a rare memento to US President Donald Trump. The gift, a uniquely crafted glass piece embedded in a 24-karat gold base, was created to symbolize Apple’s growing commitment to manufacturing in the United States.

This elegant glass disc, etched with the Apple logo and President Trump’s name, also features Tim Cook’s signature along with the year “2025” and the phrase “Made in USA.” The base, sourced from Utah, reflects the company’s continued emphasis on American materials and talent. Cook shared that the glass design was the work of a former US Marine Corps corporal now employed at Apple.

Apple US Investment Reaches $600 Billion With New $100 Billion Pledge

During the event, President Trump proudly announced Apple’s latest investment—a $100 billion boost in its US operations. This addition elevates the tech giant’s total Apple US investment to a staggering $600 billion. The new funding is expected to support job creation and the expansion of Apple’s domestic manufacturing footprint.

While this move marks a significant milestone, Trump reiterated his call for Apple to start assembling iPhones within the US. “Companies like Apple are coming home,” he said, hinting at a broader shift among American corporations returning their production bases to the country.

Apple had earlier committed $500 billion and 20,000 jobs over four years. The latest investment strengthens that promise, potentially helping the company navigate trade tensions and reduce tariff risks, according to Reuters.
