How to Link Aadhaar with Vehicle RC – Online Process (Parivahan Sewa Portal)
Step 1: Visit the official Parivahan Sewa website: https://parivahan.gov.in
Step 2: Click on “Aadhaar Authentication for Services” under the “Online Services” section and select the RC linking option
Step 3: Choose your state and RTO, then enter your vehicle registration number and last 5 digits of the chassis number
Step 4: Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number and give consent for verification
Step 5: Complete OTP verification using the Aadhaar-linked mobile number
Step 6: Once verified, a confirmation message and acknowledgement number will be issued
Offline Linking at the RTO – Process and Verification
Citizens who prefer an in-person process can complete Aadhaar-RC linking at their nearest RTO:
- Visit the RTO with your original RC and Aadhaar card (self-attested copies required)
- Request and fill out the Aadhaar Linking Form with all required details
- Submit the form and copies, and provide signature or thumb impression
- Complete biometric or OTP verification (depends on the RTO)
- Receive an acknowledgement slip; the link is usually updated within 3–7 working days
