PUNE: Ajit Doval Lokmanya Tilak National Award 2026 ceremony was held in Pune on Friday, where the National Security Advisor was honoured for his contribution to strengthening India’s national security. The award, instituted by the Lokmanya Tilak Smarak Trust, was presented by Union Home Minister Amit Shah during a function marking the 106th death anniversary of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak.
The award recognises individuals who have made significant contributions to the nation through leadership and public service.
Ajit Doval Lokmanya Tilak National Award 2026 Presented in Pune
Presenting the honour, Amit Shah praised Doval’s role in enhancing India’s security architecture.
He said the National Security Advisor has played a key role in implementing several important national security decisions under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Shah added that the award acknowledges Doval’s exceptional service and commitment to safeguarding the country’s interests.
The Lokmanya Tilak National Award is presented annually to individuals whose work reflects the values and vision of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak.
Doval Urges Youth to Embrace Patriotism and Duty
Accepting the award, Ajit Doval expressed gratitude for the recognition and said he was deeply humbled by the honour.
He urged young Indians to draw inspiration from Lokmanya Tilak’s ideals of patriotism, sacrifice and unwavering commitment to the nation.
Doval said freedom carries responsibilities alongside rights and emphasised that national interest should always remain above personal considerations.
Ajit Doval Highlights Vision of Viksit Bharat
During his address, Doval said India is emerging as a stronger and more capable nation under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He encouraged citizens, especially the younger generation, to actively contribute towards building a Viksit Bharat.
The event was attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Pawar, Minister of State Murlidhar Mohol, Lokmanya Tilak Smarak Trust President Dr. Rohit Tilak, and several other dignitaries.
