Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to inaugurate the National Turmeric Board in Nizamabad, Telangana, today. The event marks a significant milestone for the region’s agricultural sector, particularly turmeric farmers. As part of the inauguration, Mr. Shah will also unveil the official logo of the board, reflecting a commitment to farmer-driven innovation and enhancing global market access for Indian turmeric.
In addition, the Union Minister will unveil a statue of D Srinivas, a respected local leader who dedicated decades to public service in the region. Mr. Shah will also address a large farmers’ rally in Nizamabad, highlighting the Centre’s initiatives for agricultural development.
Later in the day, Mr. Shah will travel to Hyderabad, where he is expected to hold strategic discussions with Telangana BJP leaders as part of his visit to the state.
