Anticipation is building as Anthem Biosciences gears up for its stock market debut on Monday, July 21, 2025. With shares set to list on both the BSE and NSE, the latest grey market premium (GMP) signals a robust opening for the biotech company.
Grey Market Premium Points to Strong Listing Gains
According to sources monitoring the grey market, unlisted shares of Anthem Biosciences were trading at ₹713, indicating a GMP of ₹143 over the IPO issue price of ₹570. If this premium sustains until listing day, investors could see listing gains of over 25%.
However, market experts caution that while GMPs offer an estimate of investor sentiment, they are unofficial and unregulated, and therefore, should not be taken as a guarantee of actual market performance.
Anthem Biosciences IPO Details
The ₹3,395 crore IPO was purely an offer-for-sale (OFS), with promoters and early shareholders selling up to 59.6 million equity shares. The IPO was open for subscription from July 14 to July 16, offered in a price band of ₹540 to ₹570 per share, with a lot size of 26 shares.
Investor response was overwhelming—the issue was oversubscribed 63.86 times, driven largely by Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) who subscribed a remarkable 182.65 times their reserved portion, as per NSE data.
Since the issue was an OFS, Anthem Biosciences will not retain any proceeds from the IPO. The funds will go directly to the selling shareholders.
