Asia Cup 2022 : India lost match from Sri Lanka by 6 wickets in super round

Dubai: Asia Cup 2022 Final: Team India played its second match of the Super Four round at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday. This match was very important for Team India. But Sri Lanka’s team defeated team India by 6 wickets in an important match. Team India is almost out of the Asia Cup after losing this match. Team India had earlier played the first match of the Super Four against Pakistan on Sunday.

Sri Lanka captain won the toss and decided to bowl in Asia Cup 2022 Final . Team India came out to bat after receiving the invitation to bat and managed to score 173 runs for the loss of eight wickets. In response, Sri Lanka’s team scored 174 runs for the loss of four wickets and won the match. Captain Rohit Sharma scored the most runs for team India. Rohit Sharma scored 72 runs off 41 balls. Surya Kumar Yadav, who came to bat at number four, scored 34 runs. Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant played an innings of 17-17 runs. R Ashwin’s 15 runs helped the team score 173 runs.

Pathum Nisanka and Kushal Mendis came to open bat from Sri Lanka’s team chasing the target. Both the players gave a great start to Sri Lanka. Kushal Mendis played a brilliant half-century of 57 runs in 37 balls. During this, four fours and three sixes were seen with his bat. The second opener Pathum Nisanka also laid the foundation of his team’s victory by playing a half-century of 52 runs in 37 balls.
