Bhubaneswar: 73rd All India Hockey Championship 2025 to be held at Kalinga Stadium

Bhubaneswar: The much-anticipated 73rd All India Hockey Championship 2025 is set to take place at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar from April 7 to 15 under the auspices of Odisha Police. This prestigious national tournament will witness participation from top police teams across the country.

Preparatory Meeting for Championship Arrangements

A preparatory meeting was recently held at the State Police Headquarters, chaired by the State Director General of Police (DGP) YB Khurania, to discuss the necessary arrangements for the event. The DGP emphasized the importance of seamless organization and instructed senior officials to ensure adequate provisions for the players and guests.

Teams and Participants

A total of 27 men’s and 10 women’s police teams from different states are expected to compete in the tournament. Along with the players, several international hockey stars and dignitaries are likely to grace the event, further elevating its significance.

Special Arrangements for Players and Guests

To provide a hassle-free experience, the DGP has directed officials to make comprehensive arrangements for accommodation, practice sessions, security, and hospitality. The players will have access to training facilities at Kalinga Stadium and Pokhariput Stadium. Special security measures will also be implemented to ensure the smooth conduct of the championship.
