Cold wave Odisha continues, IMD Warns

Bhubaneswar: Cold wave continues all over Odisha. India Meteorological Department on Saturday forecasted that cold wave conditions will continues for the next two days.

In the weather bulletin, the IMD said, Due to northerly winds, the temperature of the state will drop in the last few days. There will be no change in the minimum night temperature during the next two to three days.


Also, the minimum temperature is likely to be below normal by three to five degrees at so many places over the state during the next two to three days.
In some districts of Odisha temperature was below 7 degrees Celsius recorded last 24 hrs.


Ten coldest places in Odisha as, Jharsuguda 5 degrees, Rourkela 6 degrees, Sundargarh 7 degrees, Semiliguda 7.3 degrees, Chiplima 7.4 degrees, Daringbadi 8 degrees, Dhenkanal 8.4 degrees, Keonjhar 8.5 degrees, Phulbani 8.5 degrees and Sonepur 9 degrees Celsius.

IMD Bhubaneswar issues yellow warning to Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Keonjhar,Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Angul, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Boudh, and Dhenkanal districts.


According to the information, in the next 7 days in most parts of the state, the sky is clear but there is a cold wave continues in odisha.
