Coolie Box Office Collection Day 6: Rajinikanth Film Crosses ₹216 Crore in India, Stays Ahead of War 2

Published on

Rajinikanth’s action thriller Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, continues its strong hold at the box office even as weekday drops begin to set in. After a massive opening during the Independence Day holiday weekend, the film has now crossed the ₹200 crore mark in India and remains ahead of its biggest competitor War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR.

According to early estimates, Coolie collected approximately ₹9.50 crore on Tuesday (day 6), taking its India net total to around ₹216 crore.

Coolie Box Office Collection Day 6 – Maintains Lead Over War 2

Despite the weekday decline, Coolie box office collection day 6 numbers remain solid. The Tuesday earnings helped the film extend its lead over War 2, which brought in ₹8.25 crore on the same day and has now crossed ₹190 crore in India. Even with the slowdown, Coolie continues to top the domestic box office and has become the highest-grossing film of the week.

Weekend Numbers and Impressive Debut

Coolie began its theatrical run with a powerful ₹65 crore opening on Thursday, followed by ₹54.75 crore on Friday. While collections dipped slightly over the weekend — ₹39.5 crore on Saturday and ₹35.25 crore on Sunday — the film remained well ahead of most other releases in the market.

On Monday, the film registered a noticeable drop, collecting ₹12 crore. However, industry observers still consider that a respectable total for a post-holiday weekday.

Coolie Box Office Collection Day 6 – Global Performance and Long-Term Outlook

The Coolie box office collection day 6 update also shows impressive growth internationally. The film’s global earnings have already crossed ₹400 crore, cementing its position as one of Rajinikanth’s biggest worldwide successes. While Coolie still has a long way to go before overtaking major blockbusters like Saiyaara (₹324.75 crore net in India) and Chhaava (₹601.57 crore net in India), strong weekday holds could keep momentum steady.

Story and Star Power Drive Audience Interest

Coolie follows Deva (Rajinikanth), a former union leader who sets off to uncover the truth behind the mysterious death of his friend. His search brings him into conflict with gangster Simon (Nagarjuna) and his associate Dayal (Soubin Shahir). The film also features Shruti Haasan, Rachita Ram and Upendra, with a special appearance by Aamir Khan — helping draw massive attention from fans across India.
