Surendranagar: Four members of a family were killed in Gujarat road accident. The car they were traveling in rammed into a truck in Gujarat’s Surendranagar district on Tuesday.

An officer of the Sayla police station told IANS, “Early in the morning, an Eeco car rammed into a truck in which four members of a family were killed on the spot. Hailing from Volvo village of Modasa Taluka in Sabarkantha district, all the deceased were members of the Khant family. They were driving towards Rajkot when the accident occurred near Aya village in Surendranagar district.

The locals and the police had a hard time when they had to literally rip open the car doors to get the bodies out. The bodies were sent to a government hospital for post-mortem.

An eyewitness told police that the accident may have occurred due to fog and poor visibility, but it is unclear whether the truck was stationary or braked suddenly and the driver of the Eeco lost control of his vehicle during the impact. into the truck.

A police officer said those killed in the accident were identified as Dhirubhai Khant (55), Vasantbhai Khant (25), Kalidas Khant (40) and Ajay (16).
