India Rallies Global Support Against Terrorism: All-Party Delegations Visit Key Nations

Published on

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, leading an all-party delegation in Panama, reiterated India’s unwavering stance against terrorism, asserting that any attack will be met with a strong response. At an event hosted by the Indian Embassy, Tharoor condemned the recent terror strike in Pahalgam, attributing it to Pakistan’s attempts to disrupt the flourishing tourism-driven economy in Kashmir and destabilize India.

The delegation also held meetings with Panama’s President José Raúl Mulino and Assembly President Dana Castaneda.

Simultaneously, in South Africa, an all-party team led by NCP (SCP) MP Supriya Sule met parliamentarians and ministers, who expressed solidarity with India. Sule emphasized the historic and strong bilateral ties between the two nations.

In Saudi Arabia, BJP MP Baijayant Panda’s delegation met the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Adel Bin Ahmed al Jubeir, and other key officials. Panda stressed the need for joint efforts to eliminate terrorist networks and highlighted the enduring and growing India-Saudi relationship in countering Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.

Meanwhile, in Italy, BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad led a delegation that met top parliamentary officials, including the head of the Foreign Affairs and Defence Committee. He noted a shared understanding between India and Italy on tackling global terrorism.

Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde led another group that arrived in Sierra Leone after visiting the Democratic Republic of Congo, continuing India’s outreach efforts.

JD(U) MP Sanjay Jha’s team met Indonesia’s Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and other parliamentary leaders, who voiced support for India’s zero-tolerance stance on terrorism. The delegation also briefed the ASEAN Secretary-General on the Pahalgam attack, who strongly condemned terrorism in all forms.

In Greece, a parliamentary team led by DMK MP Kanimozhi was welcomed by local counterparts. She thanked Greece for supporting India’s fight against terrorism and emphasized that such threats extend beyond Indian borders. The team also met the Deputy Foreign Minister of Greece.
