GALLE: Cricket fans will be able to watch the upcoming India vs Sri Lanka Test series free of charge after Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) announced complimentary public admission for both matches.

The decision is aimed at giving cricket enthusiasts an opportunity to witness international Test cricket without purchasing tickets.

Free Entry Announced for India vs Sri Lanka Tests

In an official statement, Sri Lanka Cricket said spectators will not be charged for entry to either Test match.

"Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) wishes to announce that public admission to the upcoming Test Series between Sri Lanka and India will be free of charge, thus providing cricket fans with an excellent opportunity to witness world-class Test cricket," the board said.

The move is expected to boost crowd attendance for the highly anticipated series.

Test Match Schedule

The two-match Test series will be played at the following venues:

  • First Test: August 15–19, Galle International Stadium, Galle
  • Second Test: August 23–27, Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC), Colombo

The series marks India’s next assignment in the longest format and is expected to attract large crowds as two of Asia’s leading cricket nations face off.
