Jaishankar Thanks Germany for Backing India’s Anti-Terror Efforts

External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar expressed appreciation for Germany’s early condemnation of the recent terror attack in India and its recognition of India’s right to self-defense.

Speaking in Berlin, he emphasized that India, like any sovereign nation, has the right to protect its people and territory—a view shared by Germany and many others globally.

Jaishankar also criticized Pakistan for supporting terrorism and condemned the Pahalgam attack, describing it as part of a broader pattern aimed at destabilizing the region and spreading fear.

He noted strong international support for India’s counter-terrorism actions and highlighted the importance of deepening India-Germany ties, particularly in defense and security.
