Mahavatar Narsimha Box Office: Animated Epic Crosses ₹210 Crore Worldwide

The Indian animated epic Mahavatar Narsimha is rewriting history at the box office. Released on 25 July 2025, the film has now grossed an astounding ₹210 crore worldwide, according to the makers, Hombale Films. This makes it the highest-grossing animated film in India, surpassing Hanuman (2005), Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023), and Incredibles 2 (2018).

Mahavatar Narsimha Box Office Triumph in India

In its third week, Mahavatar Narsimha shows no signs of slowing down. The third Sunday alone brought in ₹23 crore, pushing its India total to ₹171.92 crore in just 18 days, as per Sacnilk. Hombale Films celebrated on social media:

“210 CRORES+ worldwide gross & counting… Mahavatar Narsimha continues the glorious run, shattering records and winning the love of millions worldwide.”

About Mahavatar Narsimha

Directed by Ashwin Kumar and produced by Shilpaa Dhawan, Kushal Desai, and Chaitanya Desai under Kleem Productions, the film was presented by Hombale Films and released in 3D and 2D formats in Hindi and multiple South Indian languages.

The success of Mahavatar Narsimha has laid the foundation for a mythological animated franchise, with Mahavatar Parshuram and Mahavatar Kalki already in development. Hombale Films co-founder Chaluve Gowda said:

“This reception proves that Indian animation has a strong audience. The technology and talent were always here—someone just had to take the risk.”
