Malkangiri Minor Gang Rape: Four Accused Arrested Within Hours

Malkangiri: In a prompt response to a shocking incident, police in Odisha’s Malkangiri district arrested four accused within hours of a gang rape involving a minor girl. The incident has drawn widespread attention and led to immediate legal action.

Arrests Made Within Hours

According to the police, four individuals have been arrested and produced in court in connection with the case. Among them, one is a truck driver from another state, while the other three are local residents of the Malkangiri district.

In addition, police have also made arrests in separate incidents reported from Jagatsinghpur and Jajpur districts, showcasing a coordinated crackdown on crimes against women across the state.

Deputy CM Pravati Parida’s Strong Message

Reacting to the developments, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida assured that the state government is committed to taking strict action against crimes targeting women.

“Whoever the culprit is, decisive action will be taken,”
said Parida, underlining the government’s zero-tolerance policy.

She further appealed to society to extend full cooperation to the government and law enforcement agencies in combating such crimes and ensuring justice for victims.

This swift police action and strong political stance underline the state’s increasing emphasis on women’s safety, accountability, and swift justice.
