Mumbai on High Alert After ‘Lashkar-e-Jihadi’ Terror Threat: 34 Vehicles With Human Bombs Warned

Mumbai: Security has been tightened across Mumbai after the city’s Traffic Police received a chilling terror threat on their official WhatsApp number. The message, allegedly sent by a group identifying itself as ‘Lashkar-e-Jihadi’, warned of multiple blasts across the city.

According to the threat, 34 vehicles have been fitted with “human bombs” and are ready to target Mumbai. The warning claimed that the attacks would “shake the entire city” and also alleged that 14 Pakistani terrorists had already infiltrated India.

Mumbai Police on Alert After Lashkar-e-Jihadi Threat

Police confirmed that the message also mentioned the use of 400 kg of RDX explosives in the planned attacks. Following the threat, security has been significantly enhanced at sensitive locations, public places, and transport hubs.

A senior police official stated, “All possible angles of the threat are being investigated. Mumbai Police is on high alert and security across the state has been strengthened.”

WhatsApp Message Sparks Citywide Security Measures

The threat was received on the official WhatsApp number of the Mumbai Traffic Police, making authorities treat it with utmost seriousness. Rapid response teams, bomb detection squads, and anti-terror units have been deployed across the city to ensure public safety.

14 Terrorists Allegedly Entered India

The message specifically claimed that 14 Pakistani terrorists had crossed into India to execute the planned attacks. Authorities are working with intelligence agencies to verify the credibility of the claim and identify possible infiltrators.

While investigations are ongoing, the police have appealed to citizens to remain calm, avoid spreading rumours, and immediately report any suspicious activity. Security checks and patrols have been increased at railway stations, airports, and crowded marketplaces.
