Bhubaneswar: The Council of Higher Secondary Education Odisha on Tuesday announced the Plus Two (Class 12) examination results for 2026, with the overall pass percentage reaching 85.85 percent.
School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond formally declared the results for all four streams Arts, Science, Commerce and Vocational at the CHSE office in Bhubaneswar.
This year marks a major shift as CHSE released results for all streams simultaneously for the first time.
Odisha Plus Two Result 2026 Stream-Wise Pass Percentage
According to official CHSE data:
- Science stream recorded the highest pass percentage at 88.80%
- Commerce stream achieved 88.07%
- Arts stream registered 84.50%
- Vocational Education stream recorded 77.62%
Girls outperformed boys across all streams, continuing the trend seen in recent years.
The second-order effect of stronger female academic performance could further influence higher education enrollment trends, competitive entrance participation and workforce representation in Odisha over the coming years.
Nearly 4 Lakh Students Appeared for CHSE Exams
Around 4.01 lakh students had registered for the examinations across Odisha this year.
Out of them, nearly 3.96 lakh students appeared for the exams conducted between February 18 and March 27, 2026.
Stream-wise student participation included:
Arts
- 2,47,391 students appeared
Science
- 1,14,980 students appeared
Commerce
- 25,526 students appeared
Vocational
- 5,721 students appeared
The Arts stream once again recorded the highest number of candidates among all categories.

Unified Result Declaration Simplifies Admission Process
