BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha UG admission 2026 schedule has been revised by the Higher Education Department following the flood situation affecting several parts of the state. The extension applies to the ongoing Phase-I undergraduate admissions under the Student Academic Management System (SAMS), giving students additional time to complete the admission process.
The revised schedule covers admissions to all (+3) Degree institutions, including State Public Universities, Government, Aided, Unaided and Law Colleges.
Odisha UG Admission 2026 Schedule Revised
According to the official notification, candidates allotted seats in the third and final selection round must complete reporting at their allotted institutions by 5:00 pm on August 5, 2026.
Colleges have been instructed to complete data updation by 9:00 pm on the same day.
The department said the revised timeline was introduced to minimise inconvenience for students affected by the recent floods.
Fourth Round Announced to Fill Vacant Seats
To ensure maximum seat utilisation, the Higher Education Department has announced a fourth (Waiting/Spot Selection) round.
The revised schedule is as follows:
- August 8: Publication of waiting list
- August 10 to 11: Candidates to report to allotted institutions
- August 12: Publication of merit list
- August 13 to 14: Document verification and admission fee payment
Phase-II Odisha UG Admission 2026 Schedule to Be Announced Later
The Higher Education Department said the Phase-II admission schedule will be notified separately.
Students have been advised to regularly check the SAMS Odisha portal and official notifications for further updates regarding admissions and counselling.
