The highly anticipated OnePlus Nord 5 is set to launch in India on July 8, alongside the OnePlus Nord CE 5. The promotional page is now live on e-commerce platforms, offering key insights into the phone’s specifications, design, and features. The Nord 5 is positioned as the most powerful Nord smartphone yet, driven by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, offering flagship-grade performance.
Camera Upgrades
OnePlus is doubling down on camera innovation with the Nord 5’s dual 50MP ultra-clear camera system. At the rear, it features a 50MP Sony LYT-700 primary sensor, previously used in the OnePlus 13 series, along with an 8MP ultra-wide lens boasting a 116-degree field of view. On the front, users will get a 50MP JN5 selfie camera with autofocus for sharper, high-detail selfies.
Design & Display
The Nord 5 is expected to sport a flat OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals and responsive touch performance. Though the screen size is not yet confirmed, it’s likely to match or slightly exceed the 6.74-inch display used in the Nord 4. An under-display fingerprint sensor is expected to be included for secure and convenient unlocking.
Performance & Battery
With the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor under the hood, the Nord 5 will offer top-tier performance. It comes equipped with a 5,200mAh battery and 80W SuperVOOC fast charging, ensuring quick power-ups. For gamers, the device packs a 7,300mm² vapor chamber cooling system, delivering stable performance even at up to 144 FPS. The phone also boasts an IP65 rating, offering resistance to dust and light water splashes.
The OnePlus Nord 5 promises to be a major contender in the premium mid-range segment, offering performance and features that rival flagship devices—all set to hit the Indian market starting July 8.
