PM Modi condoles the demise of renowned comedian Raju Srivastava

New Delhi: Comedian Raju Srivastava, breathed his last on Wednesday, he had been admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi for about 41 days ago.  

According to his family member, He was 58. Srivastav was rushed to the hospital on August 10 and put on a ventilator after he complained of chest pain.

As informed by Raju’s family, the comedian’s dead body will be taken to his Delhi residence in Dwarka. His home is located in the lane in front of the Dashrathpuri metro station. Raju Srivastava’s last rites will take place in Delhi, tomorrow Thursday at 9:30 am.

Raju Srivastava worked in the entertainment industry since the late 1980s. He received recognition after participating in the first season of the stand-up comedy show “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge” in the year 2005.

The Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi has condoled the demise of renowned comedian Raju Srivastava. 

The Prime Minister tweeted; “Raju Srivastava brightened our lives with laughter, humour and positivity. He leaves us too soon but he will continue to live in the hearts of countless people thanks to his rich work over the years. His demise is saddening. Condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti.”
