Prime Minister Narendra Modi strongly condemned the Congress-RJD alliance in Bihar today, accusing them of using derogatory language against his late mother during a recent political rally in the poll-bound state. Speaking emotionally while addressing the Bihar State Jeevika Nidhi Credit Cooperative Society via video conferencing, Modi said the incident was not only a personal insult but also a direct attack on the dignity of mothers, sisters, and daughters across India.
PM Modi condemns derogatory remarks against his late mother
The Prime Minister said the abusive language used against his mother reflected the “hatred-filled mentality” of Congress and RJD. He demanded that the alliance apologize to the women of India, as well as to “Chhathi Maiya” and the “Saptabahini,” revered in Bihar’s traditions.
“My mother was never in politics. She endured hardships, sacrificed everything for her children, and separated herself from me so I could serve crores of mothers of India. To abuse such a mother is an unforgivable act,” Modi said, his voice breaking with emotion.

Modi recalls personal sacrifices made by his mother
Sharing memories, Modi recalled how his mother never bought new clothes for herself and silently bore hardships so that her children could succeed. “Mother is our pride, our world. The insults from the Congress-RJD stage are not just against my mother but against every Indian mother,” he declared.
He further added that Bihar’s culture, where mothers are regarded above God, can never tolerate such disrespect. “The princely dynasts born with silver spoons cannot understand this pain,” he remarked.
Bihar rally controversy sparks political storm
The controversy originated on August 28, when a video from the ‘Vote Adhikar Yatra’ in Darbhanga went viral, showing a man hurling abuses at Modi’s late mother from the stage. The rally, attended by Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, moved later to Muzaffarpur.
Police later identified the accused as Mohammad Rizvi alias Raza, a 20-year-old resident of Darbhanga, who was arrested in the Singhwara area. A case was registered against him and others following a complaint by BJP district president Aditya Narayan Choudhary.

PM Modi urges Bihar to demand accountability
With festivals like Navratri and Chhath approaching, Modi urged the people of Bihar to hold opposition leaders accountable. “This land will never tolerate insults to mothers. Wherever RJD and Congress leaders go, people must confront them with one voice: We will not accept insults to our mothers,” he said.
He also accused the opposition of arrogance, recalling past insults directed at him. “They have called me a ‘gutter insect’ and a ‘poisonous snake.’ But today they crossed every limit by targeting my mother,” Modi added, framing the attack as an insult to Indian culture and womanhood.
