Puri Beach Tourist Rescue Highlights Swift Lifeguard Response
Eyewitnesses and preliminary reports indicate that a massive wave struck unexpectedly, overpowering the tourists before they could react. Four of the individuals were visiting from Chhattisgarh, while one tourist had traveled from Maharashtra. Within moments, trained lifeguards stationed along the beach identified the danger and rushed into the turbulent waters.
Braving rough currents and low visibility, the rescue team dove repeatedly into the sea, managing to pull all five tourists back to shore. Their coordinated effort ensured that none of the victims were lost to the strong undertow, underscoring the importance of constant vigilance at busy tourist beaches.
Strong Waves at Swargadwar Beach Trigger Emergency Situation
Swargadwar beach has witnessed increased wave intensity in recent days, a factor that officials say can pose serious risks to visitors unfamiliar with sea conditions. On the day of the incident, the waves intensified suddenly, leaving little time for the tourists to escape.
Beach authorities have reiterated that such high-energy waves are common during certain tidal conditions along the Odisha coast. Warning flags and public announcements are regularly issued, but officials continue to urge tourists to strictly follow lifeguard instructions and avoid venturing into restricted zones.
Tourists Given Immediate First Aid, Condition Stable
